A Viewer's Guide to the Overkill.gg NA Matchday #3

After two exciting Matchdays in the North American Division we come to the third and final one tonight. Who can claim to be the King of the Beta in North America?

Yesterday's matches laid the foundation for the final matchday with Cloud9 beating Luminosity. While it is already clear that Cloud9 will make it to the top 4, Luminosity could still drop out if they lose both their matches. Who will be the representatives for North America in the cross-server finals?

Event Hub - Official Site

The first match kicks off at 17 PDT (20 EDT) and will be between Luminosity and Team Liquid. Currently Luminosity is ahead of Team Liquid by 6 points. Team Liquid's only chance at a top 4 spot is by beating Luminosity in this game. If Liquid loses, Luminosity has a guaranteed top 4 spot.

 Team Liquid - Luminosity

Team Liquid: Mesrawr, azk, DaHang, veee, Frisco, Dummy

Luminosity: Enigma, Seagull, milo, piero, Esper, godz

Time: Tuesday, 19th April 2016  - 17 PDT

Stream: ZP

Prediction: Luminosity have proven me massively wrong this tournament. Just looking at their performances in the Overkill North American Division marks them as favorite for this match. I don't think it will be a one sided match though. Team Liquid is more then capable of putting up a good fight.

The story of this match depends very much on the result of the first game. Team Liquid can either fight for their playoff spot or for third in North America. Should Team Liquid lose their first match, Grouchy Desperados could still emerge as third best team in the Beta from North America.

 Team Liquid - Grouchy Desperados

Team Liquid: Mesrawr, azk, DaHang, veee, Frisco, Dummy

Grouchy Desperados: BreadExpert, Krawnnic, NapTime, Mangachu, MtG, DumpTruck

Time: Tuesday, 19th April 2016 - 18.30 PDT

Stream: ZP

Prediction: Grouchy Desperados did well in their matches yesterday, all things considered. But after seeing them play there is still a visible gap between them and teams that have been playing together for a longer time. Liquid will take this 3-1.

The absolute highlight of the night. If Luminosity wins their first match, this match is the de-facto final for the crown of North America. Both teams will be eager to claim to this title.

 Cloud 9 - Luminosity

Cloud9: Adam, deBett, Surefour, Greggo, Reaver, KyKy

Luminosity: Enigma, Seagull, milo, piero, Esper, godz

Time: Tuesday, 19th April 2016  - 20 PDT

Stream: ZP

Prediction: It would surprise me if Luminosity could take this one. Looking at this match realistically, I'd argue for a 3-1 or 3-0 for Cloud9. On the other hand, everytime I predicted Luminosity to lose they proved me wrong. So maybe they'll be able to surprise me here as well. The addition of godz certainly strenghtened their lineup at least.

Closing the night will be Cloud9 and Grouchy Desperados.

 Cloud 9 - Grouchy Desperados

Cloud9: Adam, deBett, Surefour, Greggo, Reaver, KyKy

Grouchy Desperados: BreadExpert, Krawnnic, NapTime, Mangachu, MtG, DumpTruck

Time: Tuesday, 19th April 2016  - 21:30 PDT

Prediction: This prediction will be as short and simple as this match: 3-0 Cloud9.
